Gone are the floors of our parents or our grandparents, of 4, 5 or more rooms, endless corridors, a huge amount of square meters to decorate at our leisure and do what we want. The current trend is mini-flats and the economic crisis seems that it is going to get this tendency to consolidate.
The problem of these small homes is that they are too difficult to decorate, the best option is for furniture to adapt to our space, so multifunction furniture they become almost essential. As an example we can find the eternal sofa beds, beds with lower drawers or even trunks that are used as a table and as space to store anything.
Try to decorate as little as possible, or at least, that decorative elements that you choose occupy the least possible space. Cramming all the visual space will make it look like we have less space still. Converts everyday objects like lamps into a more decorative visual element for example.
Use light colors when painting your home, they give a feeling of enlarging the space. Another good advice is to fill the dead spaces such as the top of the walls with cabinets or shelves, anything goes to gain inches!
