The kitchen is a very important space in family life, people end up making more life in the kitchen than we could initially foresee. When it has enough space, the truth is that it becomes the true social space of the house. In these circumstances it is important to adapt the kitchen to new family needs.
This is the case of this kitchen which we are going to see an interesting transformation, in principle with young children covered their specific needs but as they grow these owners are forced to adapt and modernize the kitchen. It is not a great work but basically the change of the old furniture and the floor plus a small work to knock down a wall and create a larger and open kitchen.
As can be seen in the plans, above that of the original distribution and below the new distribution, the change is minimal in terms of the shape of the kitchen. The small entrance hall has just been added, knocking down the wall that closed the kitchen.
The rest of the renovation falls on the new furniture and appliances, more modern and effective. The children have grown and are already young adults, the appearance of the kitchen is more serious and current.
It is possible, with the enlargement, to create a small space for use as a desk for young people. Thus, the family tradition of using the kitchen as a social space can be continued. A place to meet to prepare the meals in which the family meets in full and at the same time allow that contact with the children that sometimes is made very much in need.
