Gray is a color that will have great relevance this season, at least when it comes to interior design. We bring here a series of photographs dedicated to an apartment located in Stockholm, Sweden, which is a clear example of this trend that I am talking about.
The open kitchen connects with the living room that follows the same color scheme. The coffee table is made of white stone marbled with different shades of gray. This smooth transition results from a great elegance, very interesting and less brusque than the classic black and white contrast. The carpet is also gray with darker, almost black motifs that form a good contrast with the softness of the sofa and the table.
The metal furniture that stores the crockery and other accessories in wood, ceramics and glass is very well topped with a plant that brings that vital touch that combines so well with the industrial look furniture.
The kitchen is white furniture and dark gray countertop. Presents the front in light gray as a contrast and rupture element.
The decorative accessories follow the same pattern throughout the house. A complete coordination for a modern apartment decorated in Scandinavian style.
In the bedroom we continue to see the same pattern with a full gradation of gray tones. The asparagus located in the window is the only note of color. In fact you will have noticed that the only color we can find outside the general palette is the green of the plants.
In the hall the wall is painted in the lower half in dark gray and in the upper half in white. It is a simple way to create a contrast zone and to mark the path that we will see in the rest of the house. The chair with white skin is a nice complement that softens that excess of gray.
